Grooming Requirements

What to Bring

  1. Leash

  2. Collar with name tag

  3. Vaccine records (if you have not shared with us)

  4. Medicated / Specialty Shampoo (as necessary)

  5. Picture of desired hair-cut / styling

Human Requirements

1. You must save a credit card on file
2. You should have an emergency contact on file
3. You should pick-up your dog within 30 minutes - 1 hour after completion

General Dog Requirements

  1. Your dog must be people friendly

  2. Your dog must have a collar and name tag

  3. Your dog should NOT be in heat

  4. Your dog should be in good health

  5. Your dog should not be overtly anxious

6) See Vaccine Requirements below. Only Rabies is required for grooming, although the others are recommended

You are responsible for sharing immunization records. You can submit all vaccine records to our email or send as a text or bring in during your next visit.

  • Rabies - Must be current

  • DA2PP, DHLPP, Parvo, Distemper - Must be current

  • Bordetella - Must be current (some breeds may benefit from a booster every 6 months; consult with your vet)

  • Canine Influenza - Recommended (consult with your vet)

  • Leptospirosis - Recommended (consult with your vet)

  • Flea Protection - Dogs should be on oral preventative treatment. If we find fleas on your dog, you will be billed for flea bath.

 

If your dog is unable to receive a certain vaccination, please provide documentation from the Vet so we can note in our system. The vet may administer titer or like tests to demonstrate health.

For Puppies

Before being in close proximity to other dogs, we recommend your puppy have completed at least:

​

  • 2 of their Parvo / Distemper shots

  • Bordetella (which is usually given with 2nd Parvo)

  • Wait a few days to allow build in immunity.

Once your dog is old enough for rabies + other vaccines, then you should immunize them accordingly. Consult with your vet.

Grooming Requirements

  1. PUPPY PARENTS: If your dog has never been groomed before, our Groomers at Don Doggo’s will always start with a nail trim, brush-out, a bath, and dryers to introduce your dog to the grooming process. We do not want to over-stress your dog as that will make future grooms harder!

  2. If your dog has any open wounds, we will not be able to perform bath & brush or groom to prevent chance of infection

  3. If your dog has fleas, we will be required to give a flea bath and bill parent accordingly

  4. Our groomer's safety + your dog's safety are of utmost importance. If we find that we are unable to groom a dog due to risk of injury to either human or dog, we will stop and let parent know

Deposit + Cancellation Policy

  1. Overnight Hotel:

    1. If notified 2+ days before reservation

      1. Deposit = 50% of cost of stay

      2. No cancellation fees;

      3. Deposit can be refunded or saved to the account for future use.

  2. Overnight Hotel:

    1. If notified <2 days before reservation

      1. Deposit = 50% of cost of stay

      2. Deposit forfeited

  3. Overnight Hotel:

    1. If your dog(s) are picked up early

      1. Parent's account will be credited the remainder of the stay.

  4. Grooming Salon

    1. No show / Cancellation within 24 hours

      1. Deposit = $20

      2. This is a non-refundable deposit / booking fee.

  5. Training Consultation

    1. No show

      1. Deposit = $50

      2. Non-refundable fee.

  6. Training Consultation

    1. Called/Informed us they need to cancel

      1. Deposit = $50

      2. Refundable.
